Untitled (Caserolazo) | 2024
Untitled(Caserolazo) takes its title from the Spanish word for a global form of popular protest that utilizes pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to make noise, calling attention to social and political struggles in various contexts. In the work, hang cookware repurposed from my own home kitchen onto a frame, simultaneously evoking a precarious chandelier and a bell that can be activated by the viewer.
